CryptoForge Decrypter

Overview

CryptoForge Decrypter is a portable and free app that allows the decryption of files on any Windows-based device without CryptoForge installed. For instance, you can send encrypted files by email to clients, business partners, or contacts who don't have CryptoForge installed, and attach the app to the email message for recipients to be able to decrypt the files. Or you can also use Decrypter yourself to decrypt files on any Windows device while you are on the go.

Decrypter's Main Features

Portable (It does not need to be installed, and it can run from external USB drives)

Free to use and freely redistributable (Organizations can distribute the app to all their clients or partners)

Tiny (Less than 2 MB)

Easy-to-use.

Single, stand-alone exe file (It does not require any framework, driver, or library)

Multi-language exe file (It will automatically work in English or Spanish, depending on the system's language)

Digitally signed for recipients and system administrators to be able to verify its authenticity and integrity.

It can run under limited Windows user accounts, even under Guest accounts.

Supports Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7, Vista, XP(SP3), Server 2016, 2012 R1/R2, 2008 R1/R2, and 2003 (all 32 and 64 bit editions supported)

CryptoForge Decrypter Helper

To start CryptoForge Decrypter Helper, do one of the following:

Right-click the CryptoForge system tray icon and choose Decrypter app from the popup menu, or

Press the Windows Start button and select All Programs >> CryptoForge >> Decrypter, or

Type "CryptoForge Decrypter" into the Windows search box.

Sending the App by Email

To send the Decrypter app by email, copy the download link by pressing the Copy URL button and then paste it into the message. Alternatively, save a copy of the app to any location on your device and then attach the executable file to the email message. Note, however, that some organizations may filter out executable file attachments, in which case you will have to send the download link. The app, however, is digitally signed by us so that recipients and system administrators can verify its authenticity and integrity. This app-based solution is much better and safer than others based on "self-extracting" archives, because that way the recipient would have to run an unsigned, potentially dangerous, and different executable every time they wanted to extract a file, which is unfeasible in today's environments.
